Medium sized rugs - from 1.2x1.7 m to 1.6x2.6 m
In this section we have gathered all our medium-sized rugs, from approximately 120x170 cm up to a maximum of 260x160 cm or 270x150 cm. The truth is that you will never find standardized sizes because the collection is made up of unique handcrafted pieces of Moroccan, Berber or Amazigh manufacture, which we personally select during our trips to Morocco.
Generally rectangular, sometimes square, you may find a 160x230 cm short pile, long pile, or flat-weave kilim, but also a length of 2.7 meters or a side of only 100 cm. Medium-large rugs are ideal for small spaces but large enough to appreciate the beauty of a handcrafted piece with its decorations. By choosing the right size you can complete and decorate your space with harmony.
The measurements vary from 160 to 270 cm for the long side and from 100 to 190 cm for the short side, depending on our selection. It all depends on the examples we manage to find in our searches. What we are sure of is that this range is highly sought after. In fact, a medium rug is perfect for completing a 3-seater sofa, whose width usually ranges from 180 to 240 cm, but also a 2-seater that on average falls between 120 and 180 cm. These types of sofas are the most used in studios, one-room and three-room apartments, but also in much larger environments: just think of a living room with a conversation corner made up of two sofas, or two chaise longues, one facing the other. A 260 / 270 cm wide rug can find its perfect place under a double bed: the textile frame will protrude by about 50 cm, providing a stylish alternative to two separate bedside rugs. A size of 180 to 250 cm can be placed at the foot of the bed, in front of the wardrobe. Ideally, the width should be the same as that of the wardrobe, which depends on the number of doors (generally from a minimum of 1.8 m for a four-door swing door or 1.6 m for a two-door sliding door).
Colors can range from the most neutral to the most vivid. Choosing the right shade is a matter of personal taste, but we recommend not to overdo it with kaleidoscopic combinations to avoid losing the chromatic harmony that allows the eye to appreciate every detail.
