Red Rugs
Symbol of nobility and prestige, red has always been associated with the divine, and for centuries it has been the main color in the palettes that make up oriental carpets. Even the oldest knotted carpet in the world, the Pazyryk, is in red wool with cross, flower and animal motifs in golden yellow and deep blue. Returning to the present day, it is certainly no coincidence that the other very famous carpet synonymous with luxury and fame is called the red carpet !
Our red rugs in solid or multicolored colors are handmade in Morocco, they can be unique vintage pieces or even rare mats and rugs. We create them or find them for you, to make your home unique and different. With these combinations infused with warm reds and burgundies you will bring a burst of energy to the living room, lounge, kitchen, bathroom or bedroom.

Our collections include red rugs with short or long piles, as well as flat-weave kilims, all made of knotted or hand-woven wool by master craftsmen. But you will also find Boucheruoite in multicolored recycled fabrics in which red may appear in its coral, burgundy, terracotta, and burgundy nuances. But remember: every time we return from one of our trips we bring back new treasures, such as Saharan and Tuareg straw mats on which red, blue, orange and green wool threads are woven, outlining splendid geometric patterns.
A red carpet is the ideal choice in many rooms of the house. In the living room it matches perfectly with a gray sofa, in the kitchen it can complement dove gray furniture, in a relaxing greige bedroom it will add a pinch of vivacity. In all its shades it transmits a feeling of energy without being too invasive, it makes us think of the warmth of the fire, of the welcome, of the elegance of luxurious rooms with an ancient charm. If we closed our eyes and visualized the image of a traditional carpet, we would most likely imagine it in this warm shade. In short, it would seem that red is the color par excellence when you think of oriental carpets (but also African or, more generally, ethnic carpets), but the power of this color is such as to make it a timeless choice applicable to rooms furnished in a modern and contemporary style. Just think of an industrial design, where cement, steel and metal will find a simply perfect contrast in red.
