“Beauty in all its forms helps the inner man to grow.” Maria Montessori understood this well: even a space inhabited by children deserves real beauty, not something temporary, disposable or destined to be replaced as soon as they grow up. That is why we have selected rugs that combine comfort, quality and character: handmade pieces able to accompany childhood and adolescence without starting to feel childish after a short time. Soft, safe, natural: rugs for nurseries, playrooms and kids’ rooms
When it comes to children, comfort and safety come first. Sheep’s wool offers a welcoming, natural surface: it softens falls, helps insulate against cold floors and supports every stage of the first year, from tummy time and crawling to first steps, toy cars and puzzles with mum and dad. For a cosy, comfy and welcoming nursery, we have also gathered long-pile rugs in gentle tones that soothe the eye: whites, beiges, fine geometric motifs or black dots on pale backgrounds. Perfect for creating the kind of soft light and calm atmosphere that both little ones and parents love to come back to.

A rug that grows with them
For younger children’s rooms, we let colour guide us: pastel shades for those who love dusty pink, lavender, mint or apricot; bright colours for more playful, joyful spaces; or soft neutrals and Nordic-inspired tones for a calmer mood.
But we have also thought about older boys and girls who want a room that feels more grown-up and more personal. The vividly coloured Azilal rugs, with their asymmetrical compositions, work beautifully here, as do the deep blues of the Denim collection in recycled jeans. In a Scandinavian-inspired room, a black-and-white wool rug, minimal and contemporary, can feel just as right at six as it does at sixteen.
This is the principle that guides us most: choosing abstract or minimalist designs that can adapt to a room which, as children grow, gradually becomes a private space, almost a home within the home.

Authentic craftsmanship: the difference made by human hands
Every rug in this collection is born in the homes and workshops of the Moroccan or Amazigh weavers we work with through ethical and sustainable collaborations. These are women who learned their craft within the family, passing down techniques, symbols, geometric motifs and a deep understanding of handmade work from one generation to the next. When a child plays on one of these rugs, walks across it or rolls on it, they are touching something real: a handmade object shaped by time, gesture and materials far removed from the logic of industrial production.

Natural materials, conscious choices
Choosing a rug in natural wool or recycled textile for your children is also a choice of values. The wool used in our rugs - 100% pure wool - is naturally strong, temperature-regulating, robust, durable and worked without harsh chemical processes. Rugs from the Denim collection, on the other hand, come from the creative reuse of discarded denim fabric, transformed through craftsmanship into something new and beautiful. These are materials that age well, improve with use and make sense as an investment for the room, for the people living in it and for the environment.

Why add a rug to a child’s room?
It is not just an aesthetic decision. A rug also improves everyday comfort: it helps with softening hard floors, cushions small falls, absorbs some of the noise that comes with playtime, and creates a more comfortable, cuddly and welcoming surface to sit on, explore and share.
