Hand knotted wool rugs made in Morocco

Here you will find all our long and short pile wool rugs, completely hand knotted using precise and elaborate ancestral techniques. Shaggy, hairy or flat pile, with or without fringes, plain or colored, they are all handcrafted products.

They are mainly made of sheep's wool, a renewable and exceptional material. Naturally antibacterial and hypoallergenic, natural wool is an excellent insulator from the cold. In fact, traditionally, they were also used as blankets and mattresses, precious allies in the mountainous regions where they are created.

The weight varies according to the density of the knots and the warp material: traditionally it is wool, but sometimes it can be cotton for a lighter carpet. The pile can be more or less shaved or long, depending on the origin and the preferences of the craftswoman.
In any case, our knotted rugs are wonderfully soft.
