More than “Berber rugs”
You may know them as Berber rugs, but behind that label live many worlds: Beni Ourain, Azilal, Beni Mrirt, Boujaad, Taznakht, Boucherouite, Hanbel, and rare natural-fibre weaves. Each name points to a place, a technique, or a lineage of makers.

A design-led edit, not a generic catalogue
This is not an “everything” page. It’s a focused edit of Moroccan craftsmanship, with patterns that can feel minimal or bold, vintage patina or crisp modern contrast.

Woven in Morocco, shaped by the Atlas
These rugs come from different regions of Morocco, from Atlas peaks and valleys to villages and towns where textile craft is a living art. The women who make them are Moroccan, Amazigh or Arab, each with her own rhythm, palette and visual language.

Materials and techniques, from wool to natural fibres and upcycling
Sheep's wool and local natural fibres are at the heart of the collection, alongside recycled textiles used through creative upcycling. You’ll find hand-knotted rugs with a soft pile, as well as pile-free flatweaves such as hanbel and kilim-style pieces. Some finishing rituals are kept within the communities that make them, and that sense of guarded know-how is part of their value.

Ancient symbols, contemporary presence
Our edit is modern and ancient at once. These rugs carry ancestral motifs and old stories, yet they read like artworks with timeless, evergreen design. Pieces made to outlast trends, and to make a home feel truly personal.

From accent pieces to extra large rugs
Browse everything from small, character-rich accents to large Moroccan area rugs, including popular formats like 8×10 and beyond. Use them to anchor a living room, warm up a bedroom, or bring texture and character to everyday spaces.

Custom projects
If you can’t find the perfect piece, tell us your measurements, palette and the mood you want. We can help you source it, or create it as a custom project.

A final thought
Casa Amar is built on sourcing. We travel through Morocco to select rugs we would bring into our own home. Some are new, others are vintage finds, all chosen for quality, personality and lasting beauty. We don’t look for objects that merely fill a room. We look for speaking crafts, pieces that carry memory and meaning. Almost like a whispered prayer, they bring the stories of Morocco into your home.
