Pink Rugs
Until the 1940s, pink was not seen as a strictly feminine colour, but simply as a shade of red. So why reserve it only for girls’ bedrooms? Our pink rugs bring softness, warmth and personality to living rooms, bedrooms and other spaces where colour deserves a place.

More than a colour for girls’ rooms
Pink has not always been read in the same way. Before the 1940s, it was not seen as an exclusively feminine colour, but simply as a shade of red. That is one reason why we like the idea of moving it beyond the most obvious spaces. Why keep it only for girls’ bedrooms or “her” bathrooms, when it can work just as beautifully in a living room, a study or a more layered bedroom?
There is plenty of room for a powder pink or antique pink rug beside a grey sofa, or for a soft, welcoming piece in calming peach tones in the bedroom.
From long pile to flatweave
On this page you will find our selection of wool rugs in long pile, short pile or flatweave designs, all featuring this much-loved colour in one form or another. Pink pairs beautifully with grey, white, black, gold, marble and brass. If you have a particular combination in mind, contact us and we will try to create it for you.
From blush to bolder pinks
If you are at Casa Amar, we imagine you are not afraid to bring a little pink into your home. But if you are wondering which shades to choose and how to work them into your interior, we can offer a few ideas.
Among the most loved tones are powder pink, antique pink and peach, all softer shades that are easy to live with and easy to combine. Pastel pink remains a favourite too, while fuchsia, shocking pink and even neon tones suit those who enjoy playing with colour and are not afraid to be more daring. The key, in those cases, is balance: for example, choosing a multicolour rug with a light base.
The shades we love most
Delicate dusty pink - sometimes called millennial pink or scandi pink - works beautifully in Scandinavian-inspired interiors, but also in retro spaces with an Art Nouveau spirit, paired with mirrored surfaces and metallic accents. For those drawn to more vintage tones, champagne pink is a beautiful option for restful rooms such as the bedroom, or for elegant spaces like a refined study.
A versatile colour, from calm to characterful
Pink can be luxurious, delicate, calming, playful or unexpectedly bold. It all depends on the saturation, the materials it is paired with, and the room around it. A pink rug can work in a pastel child’s bedroom, in a teenager’s more expressive space, in a restrained living room of grey and white, or in a sitting room with gilded, opulent accents à la Great Gatsby.
