A light-toned rug is a versatile choice and easy to combine with any color chosen for walls, furnishings, upholstery, or curtains. Whites, beiges, greiges, and cool grays have a calming effect and will be perfect for creating a Nordic or Scandinavian design environment, as well as minimalist or total white. But not only that, because where various colors are mixed, for example in ethnic or eclectic style homes, choosing a neutral rug with a discreet character can be the perfect style choice. To avoid mistakes, simply choose a model with patterns that echo the color of one or more furnishing elements in the room.
In terms of pairing with floors, these rugs work well with both light wood parquet (oak, bleached walnut, natural spruce, elm, pickled or gray-stained woods, bamboo) and darker, classic, and red ones (natural walnut, teak, iroko, burnished stained oak, doussié, cherry).
