Embroidered cushion cover FRA, red — wool and velvet, 50x50 cm
This cushion cover is part of a limited edition created in collaboration with Sabina Maffei Plozner and Costanza Marin.
It was hand-sewn and hand-embroidered in Milan by Cooperativa Alice, which has worked since 1992 alongside marginalised women through fair pay for their work and by championing Italian craftsmanship.
Every cushion cover is unique because it brings together two fabrics from two countries: a soft, artisanal vintage wool blanket hand-woven in Morocco, paired with a "deadstock" fabric found in Italy.
And every piece is one of a kind, with contrast piping in OEKO-TEX®-certified cotton adding an original pop of colour, and a coloured zip that changes every time, because every detail counts.
This cushion cover was hand-embroidered with a word from Italian Gen Z slang. It might leave the teenagers in your life speechless:
FRA: Italian slang — short for "fratello" (brother), dropped into almost every sentence in a conversation between friends
Material: Vintage wool blanket, hand-woven in the High Atlas, with white, red and green stripes, sewn with red velvet - Green piping, 100% OEKO-TEX®-certified cotton
Size: 50*50 cm - 20*20 in

A pillow collection that holds 1000 stories
Between the Lines
Vintage blankets from the High Atlas are reborn through their union with colorful fabrics sourced in Milan, thanks to the research of Sabina Maffei Plozner and Casa Amar.
Between the lines of these handcrafted Moroccan blankets, women's stories are woven.
Between those same lines, the hands of other women have embroidered words, each one unique, with a special meaning in a single language in the world, yet all speaking a universal language of love and beauty
Unique pieces sewn and embroidered in Milan
All the cushions are unique pieces sewn and embroidered by the Alice cooperative.
Since its founding in 1992, Alice has been committed to building an inclusive society that restores centrality to the individual and supports sustainable development through craftsmanship and ethical supply chains.
The worker-members of the Alice cooperative, within the women's sections (and not only) of Lombardy's prisons, learn a trade, help preserve and spread Italian craftsmanship, and, through work, return to playing a positive role in society.
Through its daily commitment, the Cooperative has enabled more than 450 marginalized women to achieve economic independence.
Sabina and Costanza, a Mother-Daughter team who share an irresistible energy.
Sabina Maffei Plozner has made it her mission to make your home your favourite place! She transforms every space into a happy place that reflects the individuality of the people who live there. Her talent with colour allowed us to harmoniously combine vintage Moroccan blankets with dozens of fabrics sourced together in Milan. Sabina took care of every detail, from the coloured piping to the zip: nothing is left to chance!
Costanza, on the other hand, chose the words to embroider for the Teens line and has become our official interpreter of "teenage language".
