The trick to getting it right: draw the perimeter of the rug on the floor with masking tape, or use a blanket or sheet.

A vintage rug is a pre-loved object steeped in history, having passed through rooms, families, changes in style and era. The marks of time are part of its charm: slight wear and small irregularities declare its uniqueness and the precious craftsmanship hidden behind every knot.

When we select a second-hand piece, we do so as one would choose a painting or a designer item, imagining how it will interact with contemporary objects in a modern home.
Choosing vintage rugs is a green and caring gesture: it means continuing a story already begun, reducing the consumption of raw materials and avoiding new production. But it also means bringing home an authentic fragment of textile culture. Don't call them "used", don't call them "second-hand": giving new life to a cherished and beloved object is, today, the true luxury.
