Not “standard sizes”, by choice
Our rugs aren’t factory-made. Sizes vary slightly because we focus on authentic handmade pieces. You may find a 120×170, 140×200, 150×200, 160×230 or 160×260 cm rug, plus occasional formats just outside the range.
Best rooms for medium size area rugs
This is one of the most requested categories because it fits real homes. A medium size area rug works beautifully in the living room (or lounge, sitting room, front room) to anchor a 2–3 seater sofa, and it’s just as practical in bedrooms for a more finished, design-led feel.
Living rooms: the “sofa-friendly” range
Most 2–3 seater sofas sit roughly between 120 and 240 cm in width. Medium rugs help create a balanced zone under the coffee table and front legs, adding cohesion without taking over the room.
Bedrooms: under the bed or at the foot
If you have a double bed around 160 cm wide, a larger medium format (for example 160×260 cm) can work under the bed, giving you a textile border that extends beyond the sides. Other medium formats are ideal at the foot of the bed or in front of wardrobes, to add comfort and warmth where you step the most.
Textures, techniques, and colours
Within this size range you can find different moods: plush knotted wool, low pile pieces, and flatweave kilim-style rugs (Hanbel). Colours shift from calm neutrals to bolder palettes, depending on what we discover and handpick.
